Wide calf boots

Boots that won't zip over your calf?

The problem isn't your leg, it's the standard cut. Our cowhide leather boots are made to your exact calf measurement, you give us the measurement, the atelier cuts the leather afterwards. No size range, no single "extra-wide" fit.

Why ready-made boots stop halfway

The zip that jams mid-calf

The zip climbs, then sticks. It's the structural flaw of ready-to-wear boots: the shaft is cut to an average calf measurement, calculated for a statistical majority that a great many legs simply don't belong to.

Going up a size, which fixes nothing

A size up widens the foot, not the shaft. You end up with a boot that slips at the heel and still grips at the calf, two problems instead of one.

"Wide calf" models that are still standard sizes

A side elastic panel, or two centimetres added to the production pattern, is still one fixed size. If your calf measurement falls outside their widened range, the problem is unchanged.

Measure your calf, then order

1

You measure your calf

A soft tape measure around the widest point, standing up. That's the one measurement we can't do without.

2

The atelier checks it

If the measurement looks inconsistent, we contact you before any leather is cut. We never start production blind.

3

The shaft is cut to your measurement

The pattern is adjusted to your calf circumference and the shaft height you asked for, then the pair is built.

4

Delivered in 14 to 18 working days

9 to 11 working days in production, then 5 to 7 working days in transit, the time it takes to make a pair that didn't exist before your order.

How wide a calf can you fit?

45 cm, 48 cm, 50 cm, 52 cm, roughly 18 to 20½ inches. These aren't sizes to pick from a list, they're the measurements the atelier receives most often. The shaft is cut to the one you give us, with no preset maximum range the way a ready-made boot has.

If your measurement is out of the ordinary, write to us before ordering: we'll check it with the atelier rather than leave you guessing.

What if I get the measurement wrong?

If your calf measurement looks inconsistent with the shaft height you asked for, we write to you before production starts. A made-to-measure pair isn't taken back for a simple change of mind, all the more reason to check it together before the leather is cut, rather than after.
