Wide calf leather boots with pull tab
A boot that finally closes over a wide calf: the shaft is cut to your own calf measurement, not to a standard size.
A plain shaft with no visible closure at all, a pull tab at the back for putting it on, a tan lining showing at the edge of the shaft.

These measurements are what the leather is cut to: without them the pair cannot be made. Take them with a soft tape measure, and if you are unsure, say so in the note below and the atelier will call you before cutting.
- Your measurements are followed
- Cowhide, cut piece by piece
- Secure payment, French company, registration number verifiable
- Made to your measurements: no return for a change of mind (French consumer code, art. L221-28 3°)

Wide calf boots, cut to your measurement
A ready-to-wear boot is cut to an average calf measurement, which is why the zip stops halfway up. Here the shaft is cut to the measurement you give us: no maximum range, no single "extra-wide" size.

The atelier's craft

Leather chosen piece by piece
Before cutting, every hide passes through the atelier's hands: the grain is checked against the light, suppleness tested by flexing the cold leather, thickness felt out zone by zone. A marked or uneven hide is set aside, never downgraded and used anyway.

1.5 mm leather, leather lined
The shaft is cowhide, 1.5 millimetres thick, chrome tanned so it stays supple without losing shape. The inside is lined in pig leather, chosen for its breathability. The sole is rubber, cemented to the upper.

Precision to the millimetre
Calf circumference, shaft height, the arch of the foot: your measurements go straight to the atelier before the first cut of leather. You feel the difference from the first steps, a boot that follows the curve of your leg, not a standard size that merely approximates it.
From the atelier to your feet
Selecting the cowhide leather
Every hide is examined by hand, grain, suppleness, thickness. Only flawless pieces make it into the atelier.
Taking your measurements
Calf and shaft measurements are recorded precisely and sent straight to the pattern maker before production begins.
Cut to your measurements
The leather is cut piece by piece to your measurements, then the shaft is built and the sole assembled. Every pair is made after your order, never taken from stock.
Assembly and finishing in the atelier
Shaft, sole and heel are assembled, then the boot is polished and worked supple before it leaves the bench.
Quality control before shipping
Every pair is inspected one last time, stitching, alignment, finish, before it's packed for you.

Cowhide leather that improves with age
Unlike synthetic leather, cowhide leather develops a patina over time and wear: it gains character rather than simply wearing out.
Made-to-measure FAQ
The outside is cowhide. The lining and insole are pigskin, chosen for its breathability; some fleece-lined models use real wool instead. We state it plainly because the lining material matters to some customers.
